Insurance Coverage for Mental Health & Behavioral Health Services

Many health insurance plans have outpatient mental health benefits. There may be a deductible or co-pay, or you may be responsible for a percentage of the contracted rate that Northwestern Medicine Behavioral Health Services has established with your insurance company.

Northwestern Medicine Behavioral Health Services submits insurance claims on your behalf. You are responsible for any unpaid balances. We do our best to ensure that there are no surprises; however, insurance companies occasionally do not handle things the way we expect.

There may be restrictions as to the frequency and total number of sessions that you can use in a year and a lifetime. Please verify insurance coverage and participation with your insurance company before starting treatment.
