Our hospitals
Northwestern Memorial Hospital
Northwestern Memorial Hospital is an academic medical center hospital that is the primary teaching affiliate for Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. The hospital is ranked as No. 1 in Illinois for 13 straight years (tie) and is nationally ranked in 11 clinical specialties by U.S. News & World Report, (2024 – 2025). Northwestern Memorial Hospital is recognized for providing exemplary patient care and innovative advancements in a variety of clinical areas including cardiovascular care; oncology; neurology and neurosurgery; solid organ and soft tissue transplants; orthopaedics; and women’s health at Prentice Women’s Hospital within Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital is an acute-care hospital located in Winfield, Illinois, that has provided quality healthcare to the residents of DuPage County and beyond for more than 50 years. The hospital has been recognized as a 100 Top Hospital by Truven Health Analytics and is ranked as No. 7 in the Chicago Metro Area and Illinois by U.S. News & World Report, (2024 – 2025). The hospital is a regional destination for such clinical services such as oncology, neurology, orthopaedics, pediatrics and cardiology.
Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital is an acute-care hospital in Geneva, Illinois. Delnor Hospital was the first hospital in Illinois to earn nursing Magnet® status from the American Nurses Credentialing Center, the nation’s highest recognition for patient care and nursing excellence. The hospital is also home to a state-of-the-art cancer center.
Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Lake Forest Hospital is a community hospital located in Lake Forest, Illinois. The hospital has been named the Consumer Choice hospital in Lake and Kenosha counties for 10 years in a row by National Research Corporation. The hospital has been ranked No. 8 (tie) in the Chicago Metro Area and Illinois by U.S. News & World Report, (2024 – 2025).
Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Kishwaukee Hospital is an acute-care hospital in DeKalb, Illinois. In 2007, Kishwaukee Hospital opened its Joint Center, and in 2013, a Spine Center was added. In 2015, the Kishwaukee Hospital Breastfeeding Center opened a human milk depot to provide donor milk to at-risk infants; it is one of the first four locations of its kind in Illinois. Its state-of-the-art Breast Health Center opened in 2019.
Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Valley West Hospital is a critical access hospital in Sandwich, Illinois, that has served the Fox Valley community for more than 70 years. In 2014, construction of a new patient wing and renovations to remaining areas of the hospital were completed, including a new MRI suite that is home to one of the only large bore MRI machines in the area. Valley West Hospital earned 100 percent quality core measure scores by The Joint Commission three out of four quarters in fiscal year 2015.
Northwestern Medicine Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital is a teaching hospital located in Wheaton, Illinois. Dedicated to the delivery of physical medicine and rehabilitation, Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital offers specialty programs for adult and pediatric patients recovering from illness or who require intensive therapy to regain their function and independence. Marianjoy rehabilitation programs span a wide range of diagnoses, including brain injury, spinal cord injury, stroke, pain and orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, neuromuscular and pediatric conditions. Marianjoy also has inpatient and outpatient pediatric rehabilitation programs and is one of the only pain management programs in Illinois accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital
Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital is a nationally recognized 143 licensed bed, acute care teaching hospital located in McHenry, Illinois, with more than 600 physicians in 70 specialties who provide comprehensive medical care. The hospital achieved five stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services in 2017 and 2018, ranking it among the top 9 percent of hospitals in the nation for quality care. In 2024-2025, U.S. News and World Report ranked McHenry Hospital, Woodstock Hospital, and Huntley Hospital as No. 12 in the Chicago Metro Area and No. 13 (tie) in Illinois. Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital is a regional destination for cancer and cardiovascular care.
Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital, an extension of Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, opened in 2016 in Huntley, Illinois, with more than 600 physicians in 70 specialties who provide comprehensive medical care. The 128-bed facility provides access to a Level 2 Trauma Center, surgical services including a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, a 20-bed Family Birth Center, Medical-Surgical Services, a 12-bed Intensive Care Unit, a Comprehensive Medical and Surgical Weight Loss Center and a hip and knee replacement center. The hospital's physicians and staff provide emergency services, and inpatient and outpatient care, and specialize in orthopaedics, cardiovascular interventions, surgical services and obstetrics. In 2024-2025, U.S. News and World Report ranked McHenry Hospital, Woodstock Hospital, and Huntley Hospital as No. 12 in the Chicago Metro Area and No. 13 (tie) in Illinois.
Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital
Serving the community for more than 100 years, Northwestern Medicine Woodstock Hospital in Woodstock, Illinois, is an extension of Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital, and a regional destination for behavioral health services and outpatient care. The 34-bed hospital features inpatient behavioral health services, as well as an emergency department and a wide range of outpatient services including laboratory and medical imaging. Woodstock Hospital achieved four stars from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for quality care in 2017 and 2018. In 2024-2025, U.S. News and World Report ranked McHenry Hospital, Woodstock Hospital, and Huntley Hospital as No. 12 in the Chicago Metro Area and No. 13 (tie) in Illinois.
Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital
Northwestern Medicine Palos Hospital is an award-winning, 425-bed acute care facility in Palos Heights, Illinois, with a South Campus in neighboring Orland Park. Dating back to the early 1900s, this hospital is committed to serving the southwest suburban Chicago community by delivering compassionate, innovative and high-quality care. Accredited by The Joint Commission, Palos Hospital features a state-of-the-art surgical department and an innovative 55-bay Center for Short Stay Care (CSSC). Outpatient services are offered through the expansive 300,000-square-foot ambulatory facility, which features a groundbreaking MRI-guided radiation therapy — the first in Illinois and only the fifth in the country to be installed — that targets tumors with millimeter precision. The hospital has been ranked No. 13 (tie) in the Chicago Metro Area and No. 15 (tie) in Illinois by U.S. News & World Report, (2024 – 2025).
