5.0 star star star star starWendy is very knowledgeable about diabetes care, and is skilled in conveying that information to a (nervous) newly diagnosed patient & his family. She thoughtfully, and thoroughly listened to our concerns and questions, and then she provided us with directed solutions to help manage insulin dosing with food intake & timing. He feels more empowered going forward in the plan to manage his blood glucose, and avoid acute downward turns.

5.0 star star star star starIf I had had the opportunity to know endocrinology when I was first diagnosed with pre/diabetes when I was 38 yo, I wouldn’t have been ignored and wasted time at my former primary internist for 13 yrs prior to finding the help and support of LFH NWM Endocrinology. Wendy would have provided me with the formula for understanding how to put food into helping myself better- we talked about protein and muscle at my appointment/ the lightbulb effect in having her trusted advisal is Emmy take away from my recent appointment. She cares to help more.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
