5.0 star star star star starHe is very personable, not pushy and answers all your questions. He gives you options without hurting your health. I liked him very much after my first visit. He let me decide what I wanted to try, instead of forcing you into a decision you may regret later.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bare is a one in a million doctor. He explains things to you and if you have questions he explains things without making you feel uncomfortable. Dr. Bare also doesn't jump right into surgery. He tells you the options you have and surgery done after all else has failed. I have great admiration and respect for Dr. Bare.

5.0 star star star star starApproachable. Promised me and my family he would take great care of me and he sure did! I don't anticipate a huge ugly scar, which is the least of my worries for now but I am just so glad I landed in his care. I would recommend Dr. Bare to anyone who may need his care in the future.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderDr Bare came highly recommended. However, his “beside manner†does not meet my expectations. I made an in person appointment rather than telehealth so that we could review my test results and go over imaging. He reviewed them very quickly which hindered me from asking questions.Telehealth would have save me an hour commuting. I feel he lacks the empathy I appreciate when meeting with a doctor. He may be a great surgeon, he’s just not the right one for me.

5.0 star star star star starHe's very practical & takes the approach of starting with the least invasive intervention with the option to escalate as needed. Sometimes I feel like Dr's just want to go straight to tests & surgery when that may be too aggressive.

5.0 star star star star starIn addition to having an excellent reputation from people I personally know, he even repaired the knee of my friend who is a personal injury attorney. He too, is extremely happy with the outcome from Dr. Bear. I had the very best of care.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderToo ballsy. I think he said I needed a advil. I needed a neck dr refer all for proper MRI not another shoulder xray and advil shot. We were talking about different shot all my life.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderDr. Bare was really busy and rushed through my appointment. When I explained to him that I felt warm in the room I waited 45 minutes to see him, he said we could go in the storage room if that was cooler!!! I felt very insulted!!!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
