5.0 star star star star starAs a former college professor, I am giving Dr. Wood an A+. It is the first time in my 77 years of age that I have seen a professional doctor with so much empathy. She not only addresses the health issues giving me choices, but she goes out of the way. She prepared me psychologically for my cataract operation the following day. Dr. Wood is superb! NW is lucky having her in the team.

5.0 star star star star starAllow patient to truly be a part of there treatment plan, and ask you what's going on with you. She listens and try to map out if all the concerns work together as one major issue. This is what was missing in my treatment. Refreshing!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wood was so kind and truly made me feel well cared for - she had reviewed my chart in depth and asked questions about my history. She was super generous with her time and I felt like I was in such capable hands who really cared. Thank you Dr. Wood!

5.0 star star star star starDr Wood helped me feel comfortable enough to discuss subjects previous doctors have guided me in the wrong direction about. She told me all of my options and gave me details without adding a personal influence on which route to take.

5.0 star star star star starShe is by far one of the best physicians I’ve ever had. Think about that for a moment. I’m 52 and I can count 3-4 providers I’ve ever had who I believe are truly at the top of their class. Ask most patients and this Is often due to providers making eye contact and actually listening after asking questions. She does this. Trust is made by the communication you have from the very beginning. I trust my new doctor. She is knowledgeable, thinks out of the box and views me as a partner in my care. Now, how do we replicate her?

5.0 star star star star starDr. Wood obviously did her homework because she had specific health questions. She also examined me and suggested a few exams I need to have and made referrals because I need to be seen by a couple of doctors. I was impressed with her services. I am glad she is my new primary doctor.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
