5.0 star star star star starDr. Stein had reviewed my case before the visit and was ready with appropriate questions and suggestions. He asked many questions and took time to listen to my concerns and answers, not only to do with my diabetes and thyroid, but other things that might affect my mood and health. He is a very thorough and caring physician.

5.0 star star star star starI met with Dr. Stein for the first time today for my type 1 diabetes. He is the best doctor that I have ever had. He spent so much time with me and went over everything in a lot of detail. I would recommend him to anyone.

5.0 star star star star starI have gone to Dr. Stein for many, many years. He is the kindest man -- listens to every concern I may have, takes his time to answer all questions, and is very thorough with test results and new products on the market for diabetes. He is just one great doctor.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Stein has been amazing to work with. He has demonstrated he is extremely knowledgeable about managing my type 1 diabetes and is open when he does not have the answer to a question instead of making something up on the spot. Not only am I likely to recommend Dr. Stein to others that need an endocrinologist, I have done so and they told me he was great to work with on non-diabetes related topics as well. Finding Dr. Stein when I did has no doubt changed my life for the better.

5.0 star star star star starDr Stein is wonderful! Very kind and caring, listens well, but really knows his patients and is very trustworthy. I’m so impressed with how much he has studied my 20+ years of records that were transferred over to him and all he knows about me!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
