5.0 star star star star starI saw Melissa due to Dr [last name]’s unavailability. Melissa was very thorough and seemed concerned about my recent ER visit. She thoroughly explained everything to me. She recommended small changes to how I take my meds. I felt very comfortable with her and felt I received excellent care and advice.

5.0 star star star star starMelissa was warm, kind, and thorough. She helped with my presenting problem, but also asked a ton of questions to collect history and try to determine a root cause because I have chronic respiratory illnesses. I never once felt like she was in a hurry to finish the appointment, she took the time to fully explain everything and answer any questions I had, and she appeared to really care about my wellbeing. She also took her time debating what prescription to give me based off of my history and put more thought into it than I’ve experienced with other doctors in the past. I left feeling heard, understood, hopeful, and without any questions. She did not recommend any unnecessary testing. I initially booked this appointment because of the location and the ability to get an appointment very quickly, but I will not even question returning/wont be looking elsewhere in the future.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
