Preservation Surgeries of the Knee
Damage to the knee joint can occur during an injury, or it can happen over time due to wear and tear. Damage can happen to the articular cartilage, meniscus or alignment of the joint itself. Each of these situations may be able to be corrected through surgical procedures:
- Articular cartilage repair - for damage to articular cartilage
- Meniscus repair/transplantation - for damage to the meniscus
- Osteotomy - to correct malalignment
