Posterior Ankle Pain

Posterior ankle pain is a condition in which an individual experiences pain at the back of the ankle due to the compression of the bone or soft tissue structures. This condition is most common among those involved in activities that require extensive ankle plantar flexion motion, such as pointing of the toes. It is most common in athletes involved in gymnastics, ballet, football and cricket (fast bowlers).
