Symptoms of a Middle Ear Infection (Otitis Media)
The most common and noticeable symptom of acute otitis media, or middle ear infection, is pain in and around the ear. Other symptoms may include:
- Fever
- Pressure in the ear
- Fullness in the ear
- Drainage from the ear
- Temporary hearing loss
Chronic or recurring ear infections may have similar symptoms that come and go.
