5.0 star star star star starGreat eye contact and attention to what I said. I came for a consultation as to whether I need surgery at this time. He clarified all information to assist my decision, without pressure to get surgery now. He provided the scenario of what surgery would occur if the condition worsens, without pressure to make a decision right away. He found a hernia that the Immediate Care physician reading the CT Scan didn't see!

5.0 star star star star starWhen we first met, he was very reassuring and comforting, explaining things and taking questions. Afterwards during follow-up, he has been personable, caring, and attentive to my recovery and any concerns I have.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Davila was very thorough and thoughtful in explaining my condition—the specific technique he would be using, kindly answering my questions before and after the surgery. I had had previous abdominal surgeries and as a nurse myself I probably had more questions than most. He was patient and encouraging and I had a very smooth procedure and recovery.

5.0 star star star star starDue to my emergency, this was the first time meeting Dr. Davila. He was soft spoken, patient with my questions & especially understanding my fears of what my surgery entailed (procedure, test results, recovery, etc.)

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
