10 only because I can't rate him higher. It's likely Dr. Schimmel saved my life. During the operation and my brief stay afterwards he explained everything to me in lay terms and always with warmth and patience. Today, he took the time to walk me through a CT scan and EKG so I would know why he was saying what he was saying. He never rushed. I know firsthand by talking with friends who are patients of his, his nurses and technicians, even the people at NMH ad agency that his is supremely well respected and liked. He told me today his philosophy is simple, "Treat others as you want to be treated." How easy, yet refreshing is that! He's a rock star in my book.

Aside from his incredible performance, ability to impart information, compassion, and caring for each individual, Dr. Schimmel makes the best choice for each patient. When he realized that My husband would be more comfortable in his own bed he released him. This morning he woke up energized and ready to go, like the procedure never happened, no pain and no bruising he looks forward to the quality of life change and his ability to walk longer distances and play more tennis.
