Symptoms of Chronic Cough
A chronic cough is often a dry and unproductive cough in response to a tickle in the back of the throat or chest. It can be associated with a number of symptoms, including:
- Frequent throat clearing
- Sore throat
- Runny nose
- Postnasal drip
- Hoarse voice
- Sour taste in your mouth
- Heartburn
- Shortness of breath
- Wheezing
See your physician if any of these symptoms lasts eight weeks or longer or if there is blood in your sputum.
