Meet the Organ Transplantation Pharmacy Team
Transplant pharmacists are key members of the transplant care teams in both the inpatient hospital and outpatient transplant clinic.
They:
- Round with the care team each day
- Manage medications before, during and after the transplant
- Help adjust medications to meet treatment goals
- Monitor and adjust immunosuppressive medications needed for transplant care
- Make sure each patient gets the right medication
- Teach patients about their medications
