We are also involved with research that leads to better understanding of the diseases, better treatments and eventually better quality of life.

The IBD Program uses a personalized approach to optimize well-known current and investigational therapies and strategies to great patients. Our expert IBD specialists work in close collaboration with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. These include:

  • Surgeons
  • Specialized nurses
  • Dietitians
  • Pathologists and radiologists
  • Psychologists/psychiatrists
  • Dermatologists and stoma (wound) care specialists
  • Rheumatologists

We have great expertise in this disease and its symptoms, along with access to the most effective and current medications and treatments. In addition, we are involved in leading-edge research to improve knowledge of inflammatory bowel disease and improve the quality of our patients' life.

The IBD Program provides seamless transition of care from pediatric to adult and takes care of other healthcare issues related to Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, such as colon cancer screening, stoma care and helping patients cope with the stress and psychological issues often associated with chronic disease.
