"Volunteering with Team NM has allowed my family to be sensitive to the needs of others. So many families are struggling to make ends meet, and this is one way we can help meet their needs. Often families make choices between food, housing, transportation or medications. By providing food, funds are available for other expenses. Volunteering often brings just as much joy to the giver as the receiver, and it reminds us to be thankful for what we have, while also being empathetic toward those that might not have what they need. Teaching our kids to then act on this to help make someone else's life a bit better allows them to make a difference in our world."
