5.0 star star star star starShe’s very kind and compassionate, and a great listener. She helped me navigate medicine during the pandemic and when we follow up, she check to make sure that everything is still good and if any changes might need to be made..

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kreiter clearly knows a great deal about the benefits and potential costs of a variety of medical interventions, as well as the interactions of medications with one another--off the top of her head. She's pleasant, empathetic, knowledgeable, and thoughtful about treatment plans. She considers my previous neuropsych exam results and my lifestyle in her medical and non-medical recommendations for treatment. I can tell she's not trying to overmedicate, that she's being careful in her treatment implementation, and that she takes my worries and goals into consideration in each interaction we have. I'm very thankful, and I'm extremely confident in her care!

5.0 star star star star starAbove, plus, she listens to all u have to say. I can trust her! She involves me in each step of care. And she gives me very wise advice. She NEVER makes me feel “less than,†as so many psychiatrists have in the past.

5.0 star star star star starIt took me almost 30 years before I discovered, through Melissa Kreiter, a psychiatrist who is a perfect blend of extremely smart and knowledgeable yet also can be so tender and kind. She involves me in each decision about my medication and I trust her. She is rare!! I always tell my friends in need about her, but she’s unable to take new patients b/c she is THAT good.

5.0 star star star star starThis Nurse Practitioner asks ample questions to obtain full context regarding my emotional and physical well-being in response to the medical interventions she has implemented. She has been more actively involved in my medicinal treatment for mental health and function needs than any medical professional I have ever seen in my life, and she provides non-medicinal treatment options for any potential complications introduced my current care plan. I look forward to each interaction with her, and I feel seen and heard.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
