5.0 star star star star starVery personable and so thorough. It was my first visit- he took the time to look at my prior labs and tests before coming in the room to see me. He explained everything very well. He was patient and never seemed rushed, like he wanted to move on to the next patient. I left my appointment feeling better about the medical profession with a renewed confidence in a physician. I wish there were more physicians out there like Dr Karmali.

5.0 star star star star starGreat bedside manor. Concerned about the patient's overall well-being. Looked for information didn't just ask basic questions. I like him a lot then he doesn't know it yet but he's my new cardiologist.

5.0 star star star star starDr Karmali is a kind and wonderful cardiologist. He waits patiently and listens carefully to what you have to say about symptoms and then asks questions. Dr Karmali always knows when and what tests you had and what needs to be done now. He takes his time with the exam and explains anything new to you about meds and listens to concerns about them. I never feel rushed or feel as if he is always typing and not listening. I always leave his office knowing that my concerns were answered.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
