5.0 star star star star starDr Shrivastava is an incredible doctor who has done an amazing job with my migraines! She worked hard until she found the right combination of medications to finally after so many years save me from having migraines 7 days a week! I am down to 2 a month!!!! She is a life saver!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Shrivastava is an exceptional MD. She took the time to go over my history and make corrections to it. She is kind, direct and her evaluation was concise. She answers difficult questions so that her answers are easy to understand I also went to her a decade ago and was so pleased that I could have her help again.

5.0 star star star star starShe is caring and listened to what I told her. However I was disappointed she didn’t read my paperwork from Marin Joy where she told me to go. They said I reached MMR and my score on test was disabled

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderShe seemed annoyed and dismissive during our appointment. I could have seen my primary doctor who could have given me different medication options. She also gave me options instead of making a decision on which medication would be best with the least amount of side effects. It was honestly a waste of time.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderPrior to this visit, I was extremely satisfied with Dr. Shrivastava. She was always kind, thorough, and compassionate. However, now I not only would not recommend her to anyone, but I will also never go back myself. She was incredibly rude, unprofessional, and belittling. She started the appt out by saying I did not follow up when directed and stated "who's fault is that?", despite being booked up 8 mo in advance. She was very uncaring and dismissive of my symptoms. She seemed very upset that I discontinued amitriptyline, however that was to meant to replace a trazodone which I had been on for many years and was prescribed by my long time psychiatrist. The amitriptyline disrupted my sleep and did not improve my migraines, so my psychiatrist and I decided it was best for me to stop the med. Dr. Shrivastava did not allow me to explain. She very rudely said "there is nothing I can do to help you" and was unwilling to discuss other possible options. I have experienced migraines for most of my life and I left the office feeling completely defeated and hopeless. I fully plan on finding a neurologist that is willing and wanting to help me. Unfortunately, I know that there are no repercussions or accountability for physicians, but I truly hope that she does not make anyone feel as horrible as I did when I left the office.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care.
