5.0 star star star star starMy first time to meet Dr Carlson. Very detailed and he took time to explain the possible things happening in my body. He offered me to be in a study that I hope could really help me a lot. Very gentle and very empathetic. Dr [last name] who recommended me to him is such a nice one too. I only have phone consultation with him though. He was the one who directed me to go to Dr Carlson.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Carlson was very professional, and he listened to my GI complaints and asked me pertinent questions. He prescribed me a new medication that has already improved my acid reflux, and I am scheduled to have an EGD and colonoscopy on [ ], 2024. I most definitely would recommend Dr. Carlson for GI care.

5.0 star star star star starWe only had a phone call, but he asked a lot of questions and provided the reasons why he was asking them. This provided background and what I can assist with in determining thr root cause and possible solution.

5.0 star star star star starDr Carlson is amazing! I have never had a doctor address these concerns as he does. He takes time to listen to my concerns and doesn't just give me the usual "loose weight etc". I feel heard and listened too. I genuinely feel like he is collaborating with me for my care and not just talking to at me.

5.0 star star star star starHe is very friendly, kind and easy to talk to. He explained the procedure very well and asked if I had any questions and answer them accordingly. He had a great team working with him during my procedure. He made sure everyone introduce themselves and their roles which is very nice.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
