5.0 star star star star starWhile Dr. Mehta is clearly a busy physician, he never portrays that to me as his patient. He is focused on me when he is with me, he communicates very well and clearly to me about the results and my status, and tells me what is going on in a way that is easy to understand.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Mehta is more than a reliable scientist, he is a great model for practicing the ART of medicine. He is easy to talk to, sincerely listens, and is willing to think creatively. He gives credit to his teachers and mentors so I know he is excellent without ever being arrogant. He works efficiently but I never feel rushed in his office. He is a pillar in my life.

5.0 star star star star starI really liked Dr. Mehta. But again this was a first meeting. But I can say, I’ve met doctors on one occasion and they left a negative impression. Dr. Mehta was smart and level headed. His calm yet confident demeanor was welcomed. If someone as me for the name of a hematologist at Northwestern, I’d definitely pass along Dr. Mehta’s name as someone to checkout.

5.0 star star star star starThis Physician is World Class. I can see why he is the Head of Stem Cell Transplant at NMH. He is EXTREMELY bright, having the technical AND, perhaps more importantly, emotional intelligence to excel in this position. He's also a really good guy. He is EXACTLY the right person for this role & is fulfilling his calling in this life. That is a gift. He is doing some good in this world, which sorely needs it. We spent an hour & a half talking at the end of the day. That is an ETERNITY in Northwestern land. The meeting centered on a haematopoietic stem cell transplant for the use of Casgevy, CRISPR Therapeutics' brand new curative CRISPR Gene Editing product for Transfusion Dependent Thalassemia. This is the world's 1st CRISPR Gene Editing treatment in clinical use. This is uncharted territory for humanity. Dr. Mehta answered my laundry list of questions & showed me this transplant is a doable undertaking. I needed to hear that. That was priceless. I hope my family & friends never need these types of services, but if they do, I would recommend them to Dr. Mehta without any hesitation.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Mehta is an absolute fantastic doctor. He explains clearly all aspects of treatment, progress of the patient, and plans for improving the outlook. In addition, he's a charming man who always appears unhurried and truly interested in each individual under his care. I cannot recommend him more highly. Northwestern is fortunate to have this amazing gentleman on its staff.
