5.0 star star star star starI’ve actually already recommended Dr. Nelson to my sister and will recommend her to anyone I know in need of a gastroenterologist. Dr. Nelson is not only a knowledgeable and skilled physician, but she is very easy to talk to. She listened to me and made me feel heard. Her follow up is also impeccable. I feel lucky to have found her.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Nelson has helped me so much in the roughly year and a half I've been her patient. She is an excellent physician who is incredibly smart, communicative in every aspect of my care, and unfailingly kind. She treats me as a whole person, not just the GI specialty she addresses. More than once, she has gone over and above to help me, a rarity in medicine today. I feel lucky to be her patient.

5.0 star star star star starShe took her time with me. She was very validating of any concern that I had, and if I had questions, she took the time to answer them very thoughtfully. As well as she has just a very kind bedside manner.

5.0 star star star star starI thought Dr. Nelson was very nice, very professional and very thorough. She spent a considerable amount of time going over my history, answering my questions and explaining a treatment plan to address my condition.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
