5.0 star star star star starExcellent communicator. Patient, thoughtful, and didn’t dismiss my concerns like my past dr. He spent a lot of time with me and didn’t rush the appointment. Also, when I didn’t understand something he took time to explain it without judgement and I didn’t feel judged. I was hesitant to make an appointment since in the past I have been lectured about my weight at doctor appointments and avoid coming. I haven’t had a better experience at a dr appointment ever.

5.0 star star star star starIt is clear that Dr. Woodrick really cares for his patients. I feel that he thoughtfully considers treatment options and takes the time to explain the pros, cons, risks, etc. My mom is older and struggles to explain how she feels. As her advocate I always go with her and appreciate that he is patient with her and tries alternate approaches to getting information from her. He readily communicates with me on her behalf and makes it feel like a conversation and not a lecture. Mom’s situation is stable now but several years ago she had extreme pain, inflammation, swelling and some other symptoms. His treatment plan reversed much of that and really changed her quality of life. I recommend him because he listens, makes you feel comfortable, is patient and kind, and most importantly, is skilled at diagnosing the issue and establishing an effective and realistic treatment plan.

5.0 star star star star starEasy going and takes time to explain things. He does not do the “wristwatch check, wrap it up, next patient†move a lot of doctors, always asks if I have any questions and always takes the time to answer questions.

5.0 star star star star starDoctor Woodrick was kind and patient.. thorough and knowledgeable ..did not make me feel that I was a waste of time and my concerns were valid. He was proactive in messaging my primary care doctor and ordering the script for an x-ray to be done so I could do everything in one visit. It was one of the best patient experiences I have had in a long time. I felt valued, seen and cared for.

5.0 star star star star starWas able to figure out a rather confusing diagnosis. I had been misdiagnosed by multiple previous specialists who told me that I had a very serious life altering disease. I feel like I can finally move on without the constant worry.

5.0 star star star star starHe was wonderful. Thorough in his questions and explanations. Took his time to get a full picture of my health and with the examination. Immediately put a plan in place to move forward. Knowledgeable, considerate, and helpful.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Woodrick is fantastic. He took time to talk, to do some essential examining, to inform me, and to listen to what I had to say. He was thorough in his entire approach to providing care, and he is wonderfully knowledgeable about the issues related to my particular health concerns. Since the tests that I have had so far were inconclusive, he was not able to answer all of my questions, but he was clear about that, and he is referring me back to the Hematology Department.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
