5.0 star star star star starI send all my friends and family to Dr. Milstead and trust him wholeheartedly. He diagnosed me with a very hard to diagnose condition that even pulmonologists at Mayo Clinic could not diagnose me with. He is diagnostically and clinically excellent and his bedside manner is supportive and empathetic.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Milstead is an exceptional physician in an era when doctors are in danger of becoming technicians rather than clinicians. He preserves the humanist traditions that define the heart of medicine. He recently made an exceptional effort to unearth medical records that the hospital records department could not locate. I am truly grateful.

5.0 star star star star starDr.Milstead was very attentative to my issues. We discussed meds that I was taking and concluded which meds I should continue with and which ones I should not, before prescribing the necessary medication to meet my needs. He was very thorough.. I'm glad he was there for me. Thanks Dr.Milstead

5.0 star star star star starDr. Milstead was informative, patient with questions, and continued to provide opportunity for questions until all my questions were answered. He was able to refer to the state of the research on multiple occasions, which gave me confidence in his advice and suggestions. He did not just tell me what I should do, but gave me a good understanding of the reasons behind the advice.

5.0 star star star star starOf all the primary care physicians I've "seen" post the retirement of Dr [ ], who was my PCP beginning 1979, Dr Milstead is the only physician who in my mind's eye both "measures up & reminds me" of the elevated sense of caring I always experienced on my appointments with Dr [ ].

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
