5.0 star star star star starDr. Tate is wonderful! He cares, really listens and takes the time to answer questions and explain things. He's wants to help when others didn't seem to want to and just shrugged their shoulders like they didn't know what to do. HIs staff is great as well. Very caring and responsive.

5.0 star star star star starHe is caring and compassionate but also incredibly professional and talented. He is great at follow-up care and empowering the patent to advocate for themselves. He never rushes me when I ask a lot of questions either. He is awesome!

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderI’m sure he’s very knowledgeable and perhaps a good surgeon but my possible cancer diagnosis was thrown at me with extreme casualness. This was without any convincing data or images to show for it when there were a ton of other possibilities in my case. Bedside manners and scientific integrity does and should matter.

5.0 star star star star starHe seems to genuinely care about his patients and listens to my concerns without interrupting me or interjecting. He seems to love what he does and you can tell he is passionate about it which makes me feel comfortable and secure in his care. he put in a new VP shunt for me and he seemed so elated that it was working well for me which is always great to see as a patient. He is also very thorough and a member of his staff responds very quickly to my mychart messages which is important when dealing with a vital organ.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
