5.0 star star star star starDr Carroll has very good listening and communication skills. She took the time to listen and provided thoughtful recommendations, as opposed to already having her mind made up. You can tell she is very experienced. She spent a lot of time talking to me and I never felt like I was rushed. Overall, I’ve had a very good experience and favorable opinion of her care compared to others in the same department. She was the first doctor I’ve seen at NM in over 10 years that has actually provided customized written instructions/recommendations in the after visit summary. I do appreciate that to be able to go back and review.

5.0 star star star star starDr Carroll successfully establish a positive report with her patients that creates a bilateral conversational flow which as far as possible clarifies the condition under treatment. She is willing not only to explain but to respond to the patient's description of symptoms. She is honest in her prognosis and appreciative of its impact on the patient.

5.0 star star star star starI had a great appointment with Dr. Carroll. She listened carefully as I described my symptoms after which she developed a plan for me going forward. She was extra patient with my questions and answered all that I had. I walked out of the appointment with a clear path of what to do/try next to hopefully start a better recovery. I would highly recommend her to anyone dealing with neurology issues.

5.0 star star star star starCan I say more than 10? Dr. Carroll spent at least two hours on my case, 1.5 with and my wife discussing things, answering our questions, etc., etc.. This was preceded by at least another half hour that she spent going over my records, case before even meeting with us. She is terrific.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg. To learn more about our Disclosure and Professional Integrity Policy, and the conflict of interest policies of our joint affiliate survey partners, please go to our Office for Regulatory Affairs Policies page.
