5.0 star star star star starI travel about 1 1/2 hours to get to the hospital but I feel it is worth it to see Dr. Bega. He answers all questions, does not speak down to you and includes you in any decisions related to medication, treatment, etc.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bega is patient minded and has great people skill. He explains things, & if needed, comes up with possible alternative solutions. One feels like he is “ working WITH you†not just servicing a medical issue. He goes out of his way to work you into his schedule, if needed. I would gladly recommend him.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bega is like a chemist. He works with me to come to the best possible medication routine to adequately manage my symptoms while also considering the side effects. While I am grateful for the variety of medications available to me they are difficult to take because of side effects. I like that he considers the whole picture and focuses on patient comfort as well as functionality.

5.0 star star star star starHe's the epitome of what a physician is. He knows how to effectively communicate to patient populations, listens, is not dismissive, and cares to know what is happening in your life outside of purposes of medicalization. Furthermore, Dr. Bega is so efficient, but never feels like he's rushing. He is a fantastic educator to patients (and from what little I've seen) students alike.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bega has continued to successfully guide our Parkinson’s journey in an honest and knowledgeable manner. Each change in medication has resulted in improvements, while we know this is a progressive disease. We appreciate his care and do not feel rushed during visits.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Bega is very knowledgeable about my husband’s diagnosis of Parkinson’s. He takes his time explaining things and we never feel rushed. We love Dr. Bega—just not the drive we have to make to see him—but we have family on board to chauffeur us from now on!

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
