5.0 star star star star starShe was very knowledgeable and was very respectful and caring before doing the in office rectal exam. I liked that she stated that she has treated many people with my condition, which is what I was looking for and need. Just wish I had more time to ask some of the other questions I had, but I understand there are time constraints.

5.0 star star star star starNever had a female surgeon, and that is a first. She MUST be great in her field!! Go Girl Power!! She is competent and made me feel confidence, esp before I had my surgery, and now with follow up care, she is the best. I always felt I was in good hands!!

5.0 star star star star starShe educated me during the process. I just was not ready for the procedure. I knew if I did not get it done it would be sometime before I could get another appointment. The pressure was high for me to make a decision.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Halverson is patient, kind, takes time to listen and answer questions and, most importantly, is an exceptional surgeon. I feel fortunate to have had her perform my surgery and provide me with follow-up care.

5.0 star star star star starI have already recommended Dr. Halverson to a friend of mine! Dr. Halverson was fantastic. She answered all of my questions and made me feel completely comfortable. She explained what would happen during my procedure and she also talked me through each step of the process during my procedure. It put me at ease and made the experience so much less scary than I expected. I will for sure recommend her to others.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
