5.0 star star star star starShe was a great listener who followed through with steps to take and referrals. She did not dismiss or deny my concerns at all. During the exams she spoke about what she was doing step by step to keep me comfortable

5.0 star star star star starDr. Scarpato is the first doctor I've had that treated me with obvious respect and compassion. She listened carefully when I described my concerns and goals, responded with engaged and thoughtful questions, and acted decisively and proactively when referrals were needed. I appreciate that she took the time to explain to me how the MyNM app works and that I could reach out to her with changes to my health or updates on the progress through the app. We came up with a plan to start my healing process for my back injury the very first day and she explained the steps clearly and concisely. Her care helps me care and that is the best thing a doctor can do.

5.0 star star star star starMy daughter doesn't like going to the doctors office at all. Dr. Scarpato was so amazing. She is now going to be her PC! After we left there were additional questions I had and Dr. Scarpato called me at 6pm to make sure we connected and got clear on everything.

5.0 star star star star starShe asked me several questions about how long my sickness was going on. Told me what was going on and explained all about the medication she prescribed for me and what what to look for I if would possibly have a bad reaction to the drug. Very pleasant and made me feel comfortable having not seen her before.

5.0 star star star star starI’ve been a patient of Dr [ ]’s for 20 years. It was tough to agree to seeing another doctor in the practice in order to be seen sooner than the only appointment I could manage with Dr [ ] still 10+ days away. Dr Scarpato was great! She was attentive, personable, patient, thorough and knowledgeable. At 72, I’ve seen it all when it comes to white coats juggling a compassionate bedside manner with a medical degree. She has earned my trust.

4.0 star star star star star_borderThe doctor really seemed to know what she was doing and was compassionate to my complex situation. It would be nice if there were an easier way to contact the doctor directly with a message or a question in real-time, but I'm sure doctors are busy. The mynm message thing with callbacks is OK, but something text-based and asynchronous would be ideal. Like... email or skype, if I have a 30-second question about something.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
