5.0 star star star star starBeing diagnosed with cancer (and this is my second time around) is beyond frightening. Dr. Alter took so much time to explain things to me and talked in terms I could understand. This was a second opinion for me but he took steps to analyze and identify concerns in my pathology report that were never explained to me. He was knowledgable and reassuring but was very honest as well which is so important. Dr. Alter was actually my second opinion on my treatment plan. It differed from the one I was given and I was going to start chemo next week. Based on his assessments I am going with his treatment plan. He never criticized any of the doctors I have been working with and was extremely diplomatic. I feel very grateful that my son insisted on a second opinion.

5.0 star star star star starDr Alter is highly intelligent very detailed and patient explaining the findings in my MRI scans. My Dr Alter took his time with me going over my surgery step by step what is going to be done from using the robotic divinci surgery technology, frozen biopsy to recovery time and my follow-up appointment with him. I watched his video on cancer genetic testing, germline mutations, etc, to cytoeluxor. I love his confident demeanor. Thank you so much Dr Alter for helping me!

5.0 star star star star starDr Alter put me at ease immediately. He pre-explained everything he was going to do in the exam so that I would be less nervous. When he was explaining my upcoming surgery, he was painstaking in relaying the details. He had a picture that he referred to that was helpful in understanding. I also appreciate the fact that he was able to secure a surgical date for next week.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Alter is top notch. I work in healthcare and with a lot of doctors and his bedside manner is one of the best I’ve encountered. He’s conversational, comforting, takes time to explain everything he is doing in a procedure and answers all questions. Highly recommend him!

Reasons: z1) professional, 2) thorough, 3) took ample time to explain and answer all questions, 4) gave auditory and visual representations of the surgery discussed, 5, discussed options, 6) results of biopsy rrpirted within three days by a personal call from knowledgeable staff.

5.0 star star star star starI answered 10 because that was the highest option given. Dr.Alter is obviously knowledgeable but more importantly he is able to communicate that knowledge to his patient. He has a calming approach, clearly cares about his patient and was sensitive to my needs.
