5.0 star star star star starDr Anita Kou is the best rehab MD i have had and truly a blessing that she was assigned as my rehab MD when i was a patient at Marianjoy. This might be my last appointment with her and she made sure that she took care of everything i need to have before she discharges me as her patient. Inspite, she asked me to connect with her in case i still need something from her. i will surely miss her as a patient and as a co-worker (she is my Attending MD for the Spinal Cord Unit i was working as a unit secretary at Marianjoy).

5.0 star star star star starDr Kou has excellent bedside manner. She is always pleasant and involves me in her decisions. She explains what she’s doing and why. She has helped me with referrals. I feel she has my daughter’s best interests in mind. If she says she’s going to do something she does it! northwestern is lucky to have her.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
