5.0 star star star star starDr. Yen is the best doctor I could ask for. I feel cared for and trust his experience and expertise. He asks questions, listens to me and lets me ask questions and then he explains things to me. He is honestly just always right about my [ ] disease. It is a massive relief to have his eyes on my situation and that gives me the greatest peace of mind.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Yen reviewed all records prior to the appointment, which allowed for a more productive conversation and planning. He was very patient, and also clearly wanted to establish a plan we felt comfortable with.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Yen is very knowledgeable and caring. He takes the time to explain everything and answer all questions. His care team was also very friendly and made sure that I knew how to contact them between appointments if I should ever need to.

5.0 star star star star starI would recommend it because of Dr Eugene Yen - he is fantastic - had him at Northshore and would follow him anywhere. I have long-standing Crohn’s Disease and he is extremely knowledgeable in that area - aside from his clinical expertise he is also so easy to talk to and explains everything clearly & completely - he is a wonderful person.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Yen is very smart but not arrogant. Kind, caring, talks to me so I can understand what he's saying and he's a great listener. Which I believe is one of the reasons he's such an amazing doctor. I would let him treat my grandkids and that's saying a lot about him. I would highly recommend him to anyone who's looking for a gastroenterologist.

5.0 star star star star starI appreciate Dr Yen's expertise. From what I can discern, his knowledge of the field is outstanding. He explains things well, and is not an alarmist but takes things seriously. He has a pleasant manner and genuinely seems to care about my welfare.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
