Not only has Dr Elaraj treated me with kindness and respect I observed how she also treated other students/resident Doctors with the same respect. Dr Elaraj was also sensitive to my time, since it can be a long drive for me she offered to do our next appointment via phone call.

Dr.Elaraj and her team went above and beyond for me. They made sure that I was comfortable and understood everything that they would be doing to assist me. Dr.Elaraj looked at my records/past test results and provided her opinion which has lead to further scans being done that were never mentioned to me before. She responded to my chart hours after my appointment with follow up instructions. My visit with her has exceeded my expectations and I'm truly grateful to have her as my doctor.

She was extremely thorough, took plenty of time explaining thing in a very simple manor. I didn’t feel rushed at all. I also felt she was being very conservative regarding the surgery (wanting to get a second opinion from her pathologist) before scheduling surgery. The first Dr. I talked to explained everything in 5 minutes and wanted to schedule surgery. I knew I made the right choice to get a second opinion from Northwestern

Dr. Elaraj is a great doctor who was very well-prepared for our appointment, having read my file and past test results and created a table with a year-by-year growth progression of my thyroid [ ]. I appreciated the fact that she did her homework. That made me feel that she cares for me as a patient. She did a fantastic job of explaining everything to me and she has the best bedside manner. She offered to play my choice of music during a biopsy to help me stay calm and she talked me through the whole thing. There ought to be more doctors like her.
