5.0 star star star star starDr. Marcus did an excellent job of explaining everything in detail at our appointment prior to surgery. I'm assuming she also did an excellent job with the surgery itself because I am healing very well and without incident. Her staff are also exceptional.

5.0 star star star star starMy oncology team - Dr. Marcus and Diane [last name] - treat me like a human being. They understand my fear and spend whatever time needed to make me comfortable. They explain everything clearly and allow my out-of-state children to participate in my appointments via phone and/or zoom. In a very, very uncomfortable and scary situation, my team treats me in a way that makes me know that I am in the exact right place to get the best care.

5.0 star star star star starDr Marcus is responsive to questions and concerns, and the day of surgery, when I expressed being anxious, she reassured me but didn’t invalidate how I felt. She made me feel safe. And surgery went well, and when I had concerns in the days following, she called me back herself.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Marcus’s care and compassion and empathy are head and shoulders above any other surgeon I have ever experienced. She honestly treated me and my wife like we were family. Very kind heart and very understanding. I would highly recommend her for anyone that is experiencing female issues or uterus cancer she really is the real deal!! She’s a rock star. Thank you for the outstanding care you provide.

5.0 star star star star starShe was patient with my questions and I did not feel rushed. Actually took time at my appointment to check my stomach and listen to my heart and breathing. Was concerned with setting a baseline of my lung functions and communicated with her nurse.

5.0 star star star star starAs stated above, Dr. Marcus knows the details of my case before she walks in the door. She is always prepared for the appointment and makes me feel like she is on my side. She listens and takes my concerns seriously. She is very kind and personable. I was under a different doctor's (at a different organization) care and didn't feel cared about at all. I felt alone and in a scary place. That all changed when I switched to NM and Dr. Marcus and her team.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
