5.0 star star star star starHe is great...He is so easy to talk to and explained everything very clearly. Made me feel comfortable on my first visit with him. Will definitely keep him as my primary doctor. I would recommend Dr. Wittke to anyone 100%.

2.0 star star star_border star_border star_borderIn person it was a fine appointment for my annual exam. After the appointment. Dr. Wittke was not helpful with lab work follow up and claimed that the necessary/requested lab work was out of his scope of practice as a PCP. I have never had this issue with a physician at Northwestern before, and was very disappointed with his willingness to request labs and offer advice on how to best support my overall health, given my pre-existing thyroid and mental health history. I have since changed providers in the LP clinic and would not refer anyone to him.

4.0 star star star star star_borderIt was a very quick and efficient visit, but not very thorough for being a new patient visit trying to establish care. I am accustomed to new patient visit being longer than established patient visits.

5.0 star star star star star[repeated from above] Dr. Wittke provided exemplary care for me in my first appointment with him to establish care. He was well prepared for my appointment and demonstrated familiarity with my chart. He was patient and thorough as we discussed my current concerns, and made several recommendations for more specialized treatment. Dr. Wittke's bedside manner was convivial and professional - I felt that he genuinely cared about my health and wellbeing.

5.0 star star star star starI haven’t been to a doctor for a full check-up in years. I felt terrible about it and Dr Wittke made me feel as ease. He was very thorough, patient and understanding. He listened and suggested a course of action. I am relieved that I finally saw a doctor and feel fortunate it was Dr Wittke.

5.0 star star star star starThis is only the second time I’ve seen Dr Wittke but it felt as though I have been seeing him for years. He knew my entire medical history, asked me questions, and encouraged me to see a specialist. I really appreciate how attentive he was during my visit.

5.0 star star star star starI’m seeing Dr. Wittke while my normal practitioner is on maternity leave and I was hesitant he’d be able to step in and continue my care without major inconvenience on my end and was absolutely proved wrong. He was clearly prepared for my appointment by reading my chart, he was pleasant, asked the right amount of questions / detail to continue my care without making a burden for me, and was just overall so pleasant.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
