4.0 star star star star star_borderI met Dr. Konen for the first time today for my transfer of care/annual check up appointment. I liked her. She does seem young and a pretty recent graduate from medical school, so I think it’ll take a little time to build a relationship and see if we’re a good fit. It’s just disconcerting to have to change doctors when I am starting to actually experience some health problems.

5.0 star star star star starThis was our first meetings. Been with my previous physician for 35-plus years. Dr. Konen put me at ease by chatting, learning about each other and treating me in a professional, competent manner. Appreciate how she explained things and responded to questions during the exam.

5.0 star star star star starAmanda is the best doctor I’ve ever had! She was so patient and caring. I feel very caught up on all of my health needs and reassured about the problems I asked her about. I would and will definitely recommend her to others.

5.0 star star star star starBased on my one and only appointment with Dr Konen, she has a relaxed and approachable demeanor. I appreciate the fact she took the time to read up about some of my medical history and asked questions about it in the first instance. I also appreciate Dr Konen's initiative to explain some things more thoroughly by seeking images online and showing them to me. Based on this experience, I would recommend Dr Konen specifically.

5.0 star star star star starDr Konen has renewed my faith in the medical profession and, for the first time in years, given me a sense of hope that there may be help for my condition. She’s brand new to Northwestern however, she already has a knowledge of what doctors will be helpful with my multi-symptomatic condition. Do not be fooled by this woman’s youth of relative short term in the medical profession. She is gifted with a wealth of knowledge as well as an outstanding sense of intuition. All of these assets are supported with a personality and demeanor that immediately put you at ease and instill one with a feeling that you not only have a caring medical professional working with you, you have an advocate who will do everything possible to make your life better.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
