5.0 star star star star starDr. Memmel is 100% one of the best surgeons in her area of expertise. She addresses every question, concern, or issue. She always finds time in her busy surgical schedule to return your phone call personally no matter how big or small the question. She is thorough and detailed, right from day one during the very first consultation. She takes her time going through every step of your care plan and answered all my questions as they arose. She adapts to your needs as the patient, not ever making you feel like you need to adapt to her as the surgeon. She has an excellent caring bedside manner that shows how much she cares about your well-being. One can genuinely see that she loves her work as a surgeon. I thank God every day for her being here & saving my life. Becoming a doctor is one thing, but anyone can see that this career was her calling. Thank you, Dr. Memmel & your team for taking excellent care of me!

5.0 star star star star starDr. Memmel took the time to thoroughly explain every step of the surgery. She even wrote the steps down for me so I could refer to it later which I loved. I left her office feeling confident and optimistic about the procedure. Her scheduler and nurses were also very kind, patient, and informative.

5.0 star star star star starI'm a long time consumer and employee of healthcare. Dr Memmel is the best I've ever seen. She's so thorough and easy to understand when explaining your condition and treatment options. In the unlikely event you have a question she didn't already cover, she is very patient about answering questions. She's the champion you want in your corner any time you need complex care.

5.0 star star star star starHer professionalism and know-how is palpable. Her calm, caring demeanor instills unwavering confidence. She affords her patients dignity at every opportunity. This....this is why I never doubted she was an exceptional surgeon who do everything in her expert hands to remove every diseased cell possible from my body. I work in oncology at NM Central (but live up north). I have connections downtown and could've easily chosen otherwise....never a question that Dr. Memmel was exactly who I needed leading this charge. THAT'S how confident I am in her.

5.0 star star star star starDr Memmel is top notch in her field, as I personally experienced. She is well rounded in her knowledge, compassionate, an excellent surgeon, extremely thorough in her explanations, and never rushed me and answers all my questions...and I have lots. I never feel rushed. I had very little pain after my surgery, and I attest that to her surgical skills. She is honest, direct, and genuine, but still extremely personable. I highly recommend her to anyone who has a breast cancer diagnosis.

5.0 star star star star starFor her patients, she writes and takes notes of everything she says during the consultation, so that the patient doesn't have to. She explains options thoroughly and makes sure the patient understands. She is a compassionate and gifted surgeon. The surgery went perfectly, and my scars are almost invisible. Highly recommend Dr. Memmel!

5.0 star star star star starI've never met a doctor, especially a surgeon like Dr Memmel. She shows the utmost compassion. And her knowledge & skill is top tier. She has explained & involved me in all steps of my health care. In today's healthcare system I've experienced few doctors that would spend the time with their patients like Dr Memmel has. Breast Cancer is a scary diagnosis, but Dr Memmel put me at ease as much as possible with cancer. She was my 2nd opinion surgeon. The drive from southwest suburbs was well worth it!! Doctors like Heidi Memmel are a great reflection upon NW Medicine.

She writes down detailed notes of everything she explains FOR the patient to take the notes home, so that the patient doesn't need to take notes themselves. I have never had a doctor write such thorough and copious notes before (2 pages) and truly appreciated her effort. She explains options fully and spends time with patients. I was impressed with her professionalism and empathetic nature.
