5.0 star star star star starI really like having Dr. Kansal as my cardiologist. She is very approachable and personable. We talk about my care together and I feel like I really have input. She is very practical in her advice.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Kansal is a very caring doctor. She never rushes when we meet. Dr. Kansal is very thorough when explaining meditation she prescribes, makes me feel comfortable, she is approachable, listens when I suggest changes to my care. She allows me to be involved in my healing journey.

1.0 star star_border star_border star_border star_borderDr was very dismissive added information on my chart as appointment notes that she never discussed with me. Even the plan of care she mentions was not shared with me at all during the visit. The only thing she actually recommended was to go to my primary care dr nd to check my pressure twice a week. However, my after visit notes have a lot that she said she shared?

5.0 star star star star starShe addressed my health concerns in various ways. She put me at ease, she took time to explain my situation and showed me images that I was confused about. She treated me with respect, and also with a sense of humor, and gave me options for treatment. After (and during) the appointment I felt lighter than I've felt in a couple of months because she eased my mind but also gave me feedback that was sobering. A true scientist with an awesome patient care manner that I very much appreciated.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
