5.0 star star star star starMichael took care of me, thoroughly explained what he was doing, and I walked out better. I wasn’t able to hear in one ear. Michael was able to flush my ear and resolved the issue. I was glad I came in. Thank you.

5.0 star star star star starHe has a great bedside manner. He was listened to my issues and was very thorough. He clearly explained things and asked if I had any questions. These things may seem simple but it is surprising how many doctors don’t do the what seem to be the basics of patient care. He was also very friendly and seemed to truly care how people are feeling.

5.0 star star star star starVery professional, I arrived with a nervous breakdown, that is very difficult to deal with and only with the respect that both the nurse and the doctor gave me I calmed down and they were able to treat me medically and there was no need for a translator. It was the best medical experience I have ever had.

5.0 star star star star starDoctor Curby was excellent. He asked a lot of good questions. His exam was thorough. His explanations were well reasoned. He showed pictures on the computer screen that helped me understand why I had pain in certain areas of my neck and upper back. His discussion of possible medication choices and reasons for discarding some of those choices were thoughtful. He included me in the conversation and the decisions.

5.0 star star star star starMichael was succinct, helpful, and answered all my questions clearly. I especially appreciated that he was willing to throw in some "in my opinion" responses on top of the "this is what the book says" kind of things.

5.0 star star star star starHe was professional and great with my 8 years old son. He recognized the earache was from build up wax rather than mild inflammation/infection and took action. He performed an ear wash instead of sending us home with wax removal kit or something like that to figure out the wax on our own.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
