I felt heard, which is not always the case with doctors. He took the things I had written down and used that to start the conversation with me and my wife- he had some good questions. He’s a nice guy 🙂

From the second he introduced himself to me he was personally involved, and understood my frustration level with losing so much of my short-term memory. He explained to me what was gonna happen that morning and then what was gonna happen with the follow up visit. he came in during my ridiculously long testing to see how I was doing. He encouraged me he kept me going because he told me a couple of things I thought I had done poorly. I had done very well at and I can’t wait to see him Wednesday afternoon when he reads me the results and we make a plan. The doctors I hate are the ones that treat you like a number. I really like Reilly he was just the opposite of that. He cares.

Dr Reilly was kind and put my mind at ease. He was very gentle and easygoing, and I felt extremely comfortable talking to him. I had no reservations opening up to him about my family problems and intellectual disabilities.

External Professional Relationships

Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
