5.0 star star star star starDr. Edelstein is trying very hard to come up with a helpful diagnosis of an illusive affliction. I like him very much and appreciate that he is willing to keep searching for better answers even though I am 77 years old.

5.0 star star star star starIn addition to being very professional, Dr. Edelstein has a good sense of humor along with an excellent bedside manner. He is an excellent listener, is very patient and did an outstanding job of explaining every aspect of my care. If you’re looking for exceptional Orthopaedic care, Dr. Edelstein should be at the very top of the list! Exceptional patient care experience.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Edelstein was absolutely wonderful in his showing me the results of my MRI on his computer and pointing out all the things that were wrong with my knee. He pointed out and explained where the written results of my MRI were on the MRI and what those results meant. He patiently answered all my questions, including such basic ones such as the deference between tendinitis and tendonosis. He carefully listened to all my questions and concerns with extreme patience and good will and explained everything in a manner I could easily understand. He is the perfect proponent of that old adage “There is no such thing as a stupid question,†although I probably tested the limits of that adage. I believe he is extremely knowledgeable and shared that knowledge with me. Since I am 79 years old, I have seen too many doctors of whom I could not say that.

5.0 star star star star starFrom the first point of patient contact to out patient surgery and post-op follow-up, Doctor Edelstein exceeded my expectations and, in my view, is the gold standard for experienced, knowledgeable, engaging and compassionate patient centered healthcare. Without a doubt, he’s an exceptional Orthopaedic surgeon.

5.0 star star star star starDr Edelstein has been excellent to work with. He is a skilled surgeon who collaborates well with his patients, including them in the decision making process in regards to pre and post surgery care. He does not talk down to patients, rather he presents the utmost respect and knowledge within the scope of the patient's understanding. Excellent results and I am very happy to have him as my doctor.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
