5.0 star star star star starSame reasons above. We enjoyed that she was personable, she explained everything in great detail. She made sure that we had a plan of action and the next steps moving forward. We felt very cared for and left the office knowing that she was going to do everything she said she would.

5.0 star star star star starDr.Tjong is very kind and takes time to ensure you understand what’s going on and her suggestions of treatment. Her suggestions also take into great consideration what you as the patient wants short and long term.

5.0 star star star star starDr Tjong is very caring. She patiently explains my situation and my care options. She suggests surgical routes as a last option, which is a wonderfully conservative approach for a surgeon and which approach I like.

5.0 star star star star starListens to your questions, answers them in a professional matter. Thinks outside the box when it is necessary. Make herself available. In my opinion a great doctor. Glad to have someone with skills to make people better with surgery and good soft skills.

5.0 star star star star starExtremely nice and very easy to talk to. Listened to my problem, examined multiple reasoning for the problem and clearly laid out different solutions to remedy the problem based on different paths I may way to take.

5.0 star star star star starFantastic Empathetic, kind and seemed genuinely interested in my care. I've had 10 ortho surgeries and she is easily among the very best MD's/surgeons who have cared for me. This experience overall was far better than my last shoulder surgery at Rush.

5.0 star star star star starLoved the way Dr. Tjong narrated her care. Explained everything she did, naming the muscles, ligaments, etc as she did her assessment. Also, very friendly, reassuring, smiled and wasn’t rushed.

5.0 star star star star starDr. Tjong was very bright and welcoming. She was very professional and listened to the patient. She gave her assessment and what path to recovery she thought we should take. More importantly she asked what was my son's goals were and what concerns he had. She offered him options and partnered with him to create a plan forward that they were both comfortable with. Love it!

5.0 star star star star starI saw Dr. Tjong for a second opinion. Her care was night and day compared to what I was getting. Her resident saw me first. She briefed Dr. Tjong. Dr. Tjong came in the room very well informed and said back to me what she understood. She asked only a few clarifying questions and performed a few exam movements to better gauge my situation. In the end, she offered both courteous and succinct feedback for a way to move forward. My husband and I were so impressed. In addition, we loved that Dr. Tjong explained to us what a "normal" course of treatment would be and also helped us understand why that would not be beneficial for my condition. Other doctors have been so quick to inject or prescribe and I've not gotten any better. Thank you, Dr. Tjong and team for giving us hope and a path forward. High Praise.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
