5.0 star star star star starI’ve been going to Dr. Heidmann for years. After moving out of the city I changed all of my doctors…but not my GP! Yearly check-ups feel like catching up with a friend! She’s incredibly knowledgeable and remembers my life, making me feel valued and understood.

5.0 star star star star starWhen Dr. Heidmann comes in to see me for my appointments, the first thing she asks me is “How are things going?†Then she listens to what I have to say without interruptions. To me, that’s very important because I feel she is truly listening to what l’m saying. She answers all of my questions and addresses all of my concerns, and if she needs to use “medical terminology†will thoroughly explain what it means. She has what I like to call, “very good bedside manner†with patients!

5.0 star star star star starMy former PCP left her practice and I was able to get an appt with Dr. Heidmann. My former employer's wife said her friend is Dr. Heidmann's patient and she highly recommended her. I was very impressed today as it was my first appt. She was friendly, well informed, and covered all my health issues and my questions.

5.0 star star star star starThe doctor has remained on staff which is important to me after losing doctors at NM. She was the doctor who finally took my complaint of 7 years seriously. That resulted in surgery that should have been done years earlier.

External Professional Relationships
Pharmaceutical, device, and biotechnology companies frequently collaborate with basic scientists and physicians within an academic medical center to help advance science and improve patient care. These relationships are important in achieving scientific breakthroughs and in establishing the effectiveness and safety of promising new therapies. In order to assure objectivity in clinical research and patient care, the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine (Feinberg), Northwestern Memorial HealthCare, Children's Hospital of Chicago Medical Center, and the Shirley Ryan AbilityLab have adopted integrity policies that require research and clinical faculty (in full-time, part-time, and unpaid/voluntary categories) to report compensated and uncompensated external industry relationships. Patients are encouraged to discuss these disclosures with their physician as well as to inquire as to how these relationships are overseen by Feinberg.
