Stroke Rehabilitation
Stroke rehabilitation is important to help you regain as much function and quality of life after a stroke as possible.
Each stroke is unique, so an individualized treatment plan is created to help every patient manage the physical, emotional and behavioral changes they may be experiencing. Your multidisciplinary care team will use a variety of therapies to help you achieve your individual goals. We will help you:
- Increase strength, function and mobility while reducing physical limitations and pain
- Restore and maximize the potential of performing daily activities
- Develop new strategies as necessary to accomplish everyday tasks
- Adopt lifestyle behaviors that promote wellness
The length of time you will need rehabilitation depends on the severity of your stroke and your individual concerns. The success of rehabilitation depends in part on:
- How quickly you are able to begin rehabilitation
- The extent of the brain injury
- The strength of your support system
