Symptoms of Prosthetic Joint Infections
Fever is usually one of the first signs of a prosthetic joint infection. Other symptoms may include:
- Pain at the incision site
- Redness and warmth at the incision site
- Swelling of the joint or limb
- Drainage from the incision site
- Pain or stiffness in the joint after a period of it being pain-free
- Chills or night sweats
- Fatigue
