Symptoms of Eosinophilic Esophagitis
Symptoms of eosinophilic esophagitis can vary depending on the severity of the inflammation. Symptoms include:
- Dysphagia (difficulty swallowing)
- Chest or upper abdominal pain
- Food stuck in the esophagus
- Heartburn that doesn’t respond to medication
- Regurgitation (the return of partially digested food from the stomach to the mouth)
- In children, vomiting, poor weight gain or failure to thrive
