Sebaceous Cyst Treatments
Sebaceous cysts only require treatment if they become inflamed or infected. Treatment helps relieve pain and inflammation and avoid an abscess. Treatments may include:
- Steroid injection: If no infection is present, your physician may inject a steroid solution into the cyst to reduce inflammation.
- Surgery: Your physician may cut into the cyst and remove all of the material inside it.
- Antibiotics: These medications will help you fight infection.
