Ethnic Skin Care

The Northwestern Medicine Center for Ethnic Skin is one of only a few in the United States that specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of skin, hair and nail conditions unique to women and men of diverse racial and ethnic backgrounds, such as Black, Asian, East Indian, Latin American and mixed descent. With expertise in medical and cosmetic issues unique to ethnic skin, our specialists are dedicated to providing personalized and culturally competent care.

Specialized dermatologists in the Center for Ethnic Skin offer all patients a comprehensive, personalized skin and hair care plan. Special services include treatment for acne, melasma, vitiligo, keloid scars, alopecia and hair loss, and skin discoloration. We also offer a range of cosmetic interventions, including laser hair reduction, Botox® and fillers, and skin resurfacing.
