Northwestern Medicine offers comprehensive, compassionate care from a multidisciplinary team at modern, patient-centered facilities. Through the Northwestern Medicine Skin Cancer Institute within the Robert H. Lurie Comprehensive Cancer Center of Northwestern University, we are able to provide specialized patient care and to spearhead high-impact research, education and training.

The Skin Cancer Institute is deeply committed to providing advanced care for skin cancer and reversing the growing prevalence of all forms of skin cancer. The multidisciplinary leadership at the institute coordinates dermatology, surgical oncology, medical oncology and radiation oncology care with translational research.

The institute is also the Chicago area's leading site for the care of patients with skin cancers and is proud to offer a comprehensive and patient-centered clinical program. Our five areas of excellence are:

  • Melanoma
  • Cutaneous T-cell lymphoma
  • Epithelial cancer/basal and squamous cell cancers
  • Skin cancer education
  • Skin complications of cancer therapies
