Northwestern Medicine Breast Risk Assessment and Prevention Program Overview

Our Breast Risk Assessment and Prevention Program is for people who have any of the following:

  • Many close family members with cancer or multiple generations with cancers, especially those diagnosed before age 50.
  • A breast biopsy that shows abnormal cells or lobular carcinoma “in place” (in situ).
  • A genetic mutation that increases the risk of developing breast cancer.
  • History of chest radiation therapy.
